As an aritst, I LOVE this print!!  Looks awesome!  It's very Dot-Tone-ish while being very graphic.

thanks! its really pretty simple in theory just hard to execute..haha.
we don't have form fitting pallets so we have to tack the insides of the shirts prior to printing, second whatever pallets are used its not a bad idea to use some kind of foam on your pallets to help absorb the seams for a better print in those areas, this is sericol water based ink. with waterbased ink I have seen its a good idea to thin down the ink with water and extender base to help printing on or around seems and also to reduce tack in the ink so the shirt is less likely to want to stick to the screen.

thanks for the tips! are you using standard spray tac on the inside of the shirt or a washable waterbased tac?

oh, and what sized screen are you using?  Are you using the same screen for all sizes or multiple screens tailor made for each size or a subset of sizes?

Yeah we use a different glue, water based stuff that will wash down very easily, screen size is 52x52 and we use just the one screen

There is a waterbased cornstarch adhesive used for this. Its what we used on belt printers

M&R makes a machine for spraying the inside of the shirt.

Thats awesome. Manually it took three to four people and it was slower. Still, an added step that should not be ab$orbed. And theres the cost of the machine.

That is pretty snazzy stuff!! Does anyone(Rich I would hope you knew this ;D ) know if the adhesive spray on that puppy is just the basic Tekmar stuff, or is it a proprietary M&R spray?

Shouldn't be Tekmar.......it clogs and does not break down like the cornstarch. We used Wagner spray guns

I have this unit... It doesn't work very well and the adhesive clogs the hoses and spray nosals.

Spray gun work just as good if not better.

One of my buddies used to use a wagner spray gun from home depot with a DIY contraption to slide the shirts onto similar to a high-end AO inside shirt sprayer. Printed some great stuff with it. Somewhat archaic but very effective if you're on a shoestring budget.
