scissor lift tables
« on: September 29, 2014, 08:48:10 PM »
I've been a little obsessed with these since seeming them at the M&R booth at ISS ft. Worth.

Such a neat and cool idea to use these as shirt carts. Anyone using them?

During our install today we used them to install heads on the press. Man, that was insane. So quick, fast, and no one having to hold heads in place.

I've thought the same thing before, you can pick one up for like $200 at Harbor Freight.  I always find myself thinking am I really going to spend $200 on a table?

You think it's worth it?

I'm guessing the M&R guys were using those to install stuff at the show, and just used them for shirt stacking in their booth...

(I work as a tech lead on a trade show crew 2x a year, and you'd be shocked in the things we use to setup the booth, and then re-use during the show)

like it's such a smart idea. Especially on huge runs! You just pile them as high as you can, then you raise as you need to!

I have three of them. They went on sale ONCE for $89 and I splurged.

We ran an order of 2500 tees last month, and we had em on all three tables, plus one more full loaded table...so you can load em up with 600+ tees each. Its cool, print for a while, pump the table up, and keep goin.

Ill get some pics tomorrow for you.
Thanks TSB gang!!

The nice Rubbermaid carts are a little over two bills delivered. And they don't even scissor!

I have one of the Harbor Freight adjustable carts.  I used it to install the arms of the auto when I got it, which I put together alone.  Built a wood box to make it tall enough.  Then I switched out the box for another to stack shirts on.  I like the shirts about platen high.  As the pile goes down I jack up the cart a little higher.  I'm always pulling from the same height when loading. There's an open area between the top of the box and the top of the cart which is a good place to store things needed while printing.

we have 8 of the harbor freight lift tables here and boy oh boy are they nice!!

they have big wheels  on em, carry over 1000lbs and when you have those large runs, we can stack all of the shirts on a single cart, then just pump the foot lever and it lifts up to keep the loading height at just the right level.

We use them behind the dryer to stack shirts on, stage the next job and just roll them around where needed.
