Thanks Dan,

I think I will do a more in-depth video on this a week or so. One of the draw backs with the color dodge technique is that you can loose allot of the darker data or shadows. I probably should have covered that. All applicable to PhotoShop too.. Maybe I will do the next one in DRAW and PS.

I ran across that technique in Photoshop just looking around the net for assorted PS tricks last year, it is pretty cool...

Yeah it is a cool trick if you want to bring the shading back in in the dark areas you can pretty easily just duplicate the layer and set the layer to multiply and then levels or tone curve back the light color areas and then it really starts to look much better.
