YAIMB - Yet Another Install Mini Blog
« on: December 05, 2014, 02:48:48 PM »
The time has come for our new press to arrive! Over the last few weeks we have been busy preparing.

Air and power for the new press is in.

Reclaim area reorganized.

The manual moved out of the way to make room for the existing DB

Things are pretty disorganized at this point but we are making progress!

Starting to prep the floor and space for the new press.

At this point we still have lighting to add and reconfigure, more banners for the walls and the floor needs paint.

More to come, stay tuned....

Congrats and that is a nice spread you got to work in.

Thanks, it is a pretty nice set up. Things are usually much cleaner/neater than you see in the pictures. The new beast install starts Monday. I hope to have a time lapse video of the install when it's all done.

Here are a few more pics of the prep work.

Additional, strategically placed lighting for the new press is going up.

Some new banners to spruce the place up a bit.

We took delivery of the press yesterday. The base was a bit of a challenge to get off the back of the trailer. The first forklift was a little light on the back end so we borrowed one from our neighbor.

We had to drag it to the back end of the trailer in order to get the forks all of the way under it.

2 flashes and misc parts. There were a couple of more pallets with print heads etc.

With all of the major prep work behind us the last task was getting the floor painted. This color was the winner.

The first coat of paint is down. Second coat is going down today, assuming our fearless leader is not sick from the paint fumes from yesterday ;)

I see you have insulated tubes for the dryer, do you have A/C also?

Nice, I wish we would of taken more time to prep the area around where our press is before it was installed. Fun times!

Wow, green. I thought painting some of the walls green was bold. That's a bright floor. Nice looking shop.

Those are AC drops that will be positioned over the loading stations on both presses and at the end of the dryer for the catcher.

So, we ended up with a S-Roque YOU P16 XL 12/16, 1 ECO Flash and 1 EVO Flash and their PRU system. This gives us a true 12 color machine with 2 flashes and cool downs and the option of adding 2 more heads in the future if we ever find a need for them.

(the forklift color is purely coincidental, I swear)
