Hi,

Opinions?

It works with one operator, which is big advantage.

Well, sometimes you see the real value of machines or devices or anything life once you try it out. Not just by looking at it.

We used to use this kind of flip-flop folders in my shop for some years. I guess somewhere between 1998-2004.
And I thought  machines like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtDTQXTnlfE were pretty useless.

I couldn't be more wrong. Friend of mine convinced me to buy one. One of better investments I did.  One person folds close to 200  T--shirts per Hour. With no issues.

On Amscomatic we always need two persons.  Speedy folder sits close to dryer and whenever unloader has some time to wait for whatever reason he can fold T-shirts.

Ryonet just introduced one that looks almost like an exact copy of the Speedy-T thing.
Not sure if $12k is a fair price for what it is, but seems like a little much to me.

It's Speedy by Chiossi & Cavazzuti.  We payed about 60% of this price, that was price for new back than, about 10 years ago.

There are several more producers of roughly the same unit.

I believe that Boris said that that was what he thought until he tried one!

I don`t get it. So the roq-n-fold is slightly faster then the girl in our shop using a flip fold, it does not fold nearly as neat as she does, and you still have to put the folded shirt manually in a nylon bag. That machine would not make into our shop, never. Now in all fairness I was watching the video without sound so I don`t know if this was maybe just a parody by Ryan.

And then there's the 'manual' way -

I like that the Metalnox at least bags the shirt on its own. I wouldn't mind having one of these...but not in the 10k-12k range.

Came across this:

Makes me wonder if something like this could just be made fairly cheap. Minus the bells and whistles.

Yeah, that really is all there is to it.

That diy version is like $30 bucks and a very few lines of code.

Obviously one would want one a little more robust, but that would just mean upgrading the components and you would be good to go.

Gilly, if you were to make one what would you use for the servos and controller?

I'm kinda wanting to try this now haha.
