Roland VersaCamm for Film?
« on: May 01, 2016, 03:40:19 AM »
Curious if anyone has printed film on a Roland VersaCamm.  We have an SP540i here now and never have replaced our film printing setup.  Would it be possible to do film output on this unit for a while?

We've used this film for our sign screens.

The only trouble I ever had with my Roland when trying to do film output is that it can be tricky to get a good black to print solid.  I print from Flexi so you might have better luck with another RIP or profile, It's certainly capable, if you can get the ink density correct.

Getting the ink density up is the problem.  Not sure how to go about that.
