Where can you find small screens?
« on: May 24, 2016, 01:57:47 AM »
I think I may have located a manual cylindrical screen printing press that is collecting dust in a garage not too far from me....He does not have any screens....It will will fit 10 x 14 frames (305 mesh I am guessing).....Any idea where to buy this size?.....Most supply places seem to have larger ones for apparel.....

Premade is great but if you have the time, just make your own out of wood or what have you
and use a larger roller frame to stretch it with. I used to work at a LARGE glass decorator with
15 or so cylindrical presses for a short while and that's how they did it,

This is an interesting idea......I could keep building screens cheap enough that I could save them for re-use.....Or if I get lazy just toss them....

I make screens exactly as mentioned above. Stretch a roller on the roller master, place on a pre made wood frame ( I rip 2x4's and use them with a mitred edge. I paint them with oil based spray paint to keep the water somewhat out) and apply KIWO Frame adhesive. Works great for our bottle printer.
