Need manual for Fimor/Serilor squeegee sharpener
« on: February 16, 2017, 05:21:39 PM »
Anyone have a manual for a Fimor/Serilor squeegee sharpener?  I just picked up a used Diamond Short-Cut but can't track down a manual to save my life.

Thank youuuuu..

Wasn't expecting to hear back so quickly from Fimor (hence the post), but I now have the manual in hand. Thank you Fimor!

Get yourself three wheels
60 grit for rough removal or damaged blades to get down to new material quick
120 grit for medium removal
230 grit for the final polish.

Get a belt sander cleaning bar
and use it often between passes.

Be sure to check the bolts that hold the motor to the carriage, you want them snug so you have to push the motor assembly to move. You don't want it free sliding and don't grease it either as it's all plastic inside a smooth rail.

You can get fancy with a soft copper tube connected to an air line, squish the end slightly and blow air onto the wheel where it contacts the blade to keep heat down, just a light flow is all you need.

Anything else give me a call, used these sharpeners extensively over the years.

Ever tried pulling air to cool it/vac dust?

Yes and standing next to a shop vac whining in your ear for 20 minutes is brutal.

The long cut automatic version has a vacuum attached to it that catches all the dust.. still loud and annoying.

Your definition of brutal is intriguing.
