The recycle logo is usable for sure. This art, "in button style"..is more unique and more likely done by someone and then used by others. I doubt you would catch any grief but who knows?

Interestingly, the folks who contacted me call this their logo, and it has been for some time.
The file, however, has been "lost" which leads me to believe that they just went "net fishing", even if a few years ago, but who knows?
I actually plan on getting them away from the button look to make my job easier, and now, also, to reduce my problem of wondering if this is really theirs.
Even if I can't get in trouble, I often also strive to not be an "enabler".
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Pretty interesting design there, I like the parallel threads on the base.

I hear that button look is hot these days though, might make up for it.
