Printing with reactive dye
« on: April 27, 2017, 04:14:44 PM »
I think I have to re-sep a file for a dye print in the morning. Hoping someone with more experience with this than me and can lend a hand.

I am thinking an index separation will work best, as we might want to limit overprinting. It will probably also be necessary to knock out all the white. We can't dye things white, we can only bleach them.

Am I on the right track here? Our original submit was printed with water based inks, flashing after each color. The production strike off was printed with dye. We like the hand feel better but the art has some issues I would like to adjust in the sep tomorrow.

Any tips you might have for printing this way would really help me out.

Thanks everyone!
