Epson T3270 heads blocking up
« on: June 19, 2017, 08:54:14 AM »
I have a new Epson T3270, both black heads and blocking up.
The colors are OK, I have Sublimation black and UV blocking black in the heads.
The humidity in the room is 44%, maybe a bit low.
The 4880 with the same UV blocking black is OK.
I am not printing much on the T3270 but do a nozzle check every day and have to do a power clean almost every day.
Any ideas?

We use the stock Epson Matte Black only for the films; pigment based so we had to get film that matched. We've had one clog from lack of use, but one head cleaning fixed it and we were back to using it. The ink does not "look" as dense as the dye based film from our old 3800, but cause no trouble in exposing them. As one of the old guys, I'll reference Rubylith and Amberlith, which were transparent, yet exposed just fine...

We haven't tried 3rd party inks because we're too chicken to void the warranty, cluck, cluck, cluck...
