FREE M&R Maxi Cure Dryer
« on: July 19, 2017, 06:37:05 PM »
We have an M&R Maxi Cure dryer that is free to a good home.

It's a 60" wide belt, 5' in/out, 10' of heat. It's electrical and dates back to the 1990s. We replaced a few of the heating elements this winter. I don't have the serial number. The dryer runs well for its age. We adjust speed for different garment types.

It will be available to be moved as soon as August 1. We are located in Toledo, Ohio.

Reply to this post or email (john@jupmode.com) if you have questions.

I'm having trouble attaching an image to this post. The dryer is still in use.

What trouble are you having attaching an image? Is it bigger than 4048k?
If need be, send it to me. andy@theshirtboard.com

Here it is reduced a bit. It opened at 56" and I knocked it down to 46"
Even at a resolution of 72, it was initially just a bit too large. Said it was originally 3.9MB  (4,091,653 bytes), a little bigger than the 4048K max.

It's running somewhere in the range of 135 amps.

You might want to look into scrapping it or parting it out.  I sold the control panel and the new heating panels for a few hundred when we got rid of ours.  Made more money that way with less hassle.  Talk to a tech in your area, someone else might still have one that they would like to get some parts for.

It's a lot of oven to move and install, couple that with 135a service and wiring it in would be costly.  It should be 3phase, is that correct?

Big electric bill, I can see why you're moving it. We draw 285 amps here for 3 dryers; we moving 2 old Advance Tex Air, a 48 and a 60, that draw 100 amps each and replacing them with one Interchange MD-8, our electric bill will be plummeting. And we  sold a '94 Gauntlet that we weren't using much anymore as well. This helps as our building is being sold, and we'll have to move. The Interchange will be easier to breakdown and move...

Steve

that all being said, it's a great deal for somebody.
I made a mistake once; I thought I was wrong about something; I wasn't

Steve, you're bill is going to SHRINK.  Ours went down by around $500-600 a month from a single Maxi-cure.
