Problems with 4880
« on: August 16, 2017, 10:46:12 AM »
I have two problems with my 4880 after a power failure.
1 The ethernet connection at the back shows red and orange and not green and orange.     Checked cables etc, seems to be a problem with the printer.
2 The printer is cutting a piece of film about 4" after every page.
Anybody have any suggestions?

Make sure its not a cross over cable should be a straight thru if i remember. On the 4" there is an eye to turn off and will solve problem.

I have 4880 with a bad head sitting here, so if you need the Ethernet module you can have it (or anything else you might need).

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!
