instructions to graphics department?
« on: September 04, 2017, 04:20:21 AM »
I am having a argument with my sales staff, I don't think they are giving enough information to the graphics department.
Do any of you have a form or information you can send me?

What's to argue about? You're the boss! But, I get it... salespeople need to know what the art department needs; garment, material, all details about the logo being reproduced. The sales people need to understand that the art dept. is not with them during the conversations with the customer, and don't carry any of that knowledge if the sales person doesn't share it with them. It can be smoothed over unless someone refuses to budge for some stupid reason...

The arguments between sales and production are as old as the two have existed. The sales people are best to have production experience, and the production staff should also be familiar with the challenges and demands of sales.

Ultimately Art staff will want a package delivered to them that is 100% complete and ready to be designed and produced, reality is that just isn't going to be the case very often.
