Hi, my name is Kay, and I stumbled onto this site while researching plastisol ink.  I am not in the printing business; I manage the merchandise for a musician here in Austin.  I have been educating myself about t-shirt printing a little at a time, so that I can understand what our t-shirt guy is telling me when I re-order shirts, and especially when we are designing a new shirt.  That is the case now.

Hope it is cool that I have joined, since I am not in the business.  I am sure I can learn a lot here.

If we can help even one printer not suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous client requests or poor design choices, then we have done the industry a service!

Welcome! Best piece of advice I can give is bounce ideas off / get input from your printer BEFORE you decide on a particular design. A knowledgeable printer can help you make adjustments for optimal printing results, and can help you get the most bang for your budget by advising on garment options, ink colors, & more.
