Trucker Cap Foam Degrading
« on: June 11, 2018, 03:55:22 PM »
Anyone do a lot of trucker caps?  We do- mostly Mega and Otto, mostly dye sub.  Lately, many of the cap's foam fronts are coming out of the heat press looking like junk.  Kind of like cellulite on somebody's legs, ew.   Some are even degrading to the point where they are losing their structure.  Print looks great, no issues there.

I suspect some type of change in the foam product used to back the poly.  We are of course going to be re-testing pressures/temps/times to accommodate but is anyone else seeing this?

I've hear that some of those caps are for embroidery and heat transfer only.
