Little things that annoy me (join in and get it off of your chest)

The term "black and white". Folks like to mess with my mind in both possible directions with this one. A printer that prints only one color of ink (monochrome), is not black and white, it's black!
Conversely, your "black and white" design, on a colored T'shirt, is not one color printing any longer!
As a subset of this shirt color issue, it's usually not prudent to add some shirts sharing the main color of your design.

This goes along those same lines, but people that think they know more than you about how a job should be printed.  "it's only x number of colors" or "why don't you print it 4CP?"

what color do you want it to be   blue  or green,    umm those are shades of a color not an actual color

this burns my buns every time, first thing I ask a customer what shirt color or colors of shirts are you going to pick, that helps me coloring your art, and after I get the art done they go from light to very dark or yep!!!!!! picks the same color shirt that there design has in it

2) " For just one shirt, it's how much?"

3) "how much is your stuff?"

4) walk-ins

5) the phone

6) the phone ringing telling me they are going to stop in and see me......WTF did you call me for then!?

7) over talking...let one person speak before you open your mouth...

8 ) "I got the design on the computer, can you use it?"

9) incomplete work orders with important information missing.

10) walk-ins

11) while standing at the counter......."Let me call these guys and get all their sizes......"

12) "I emailed you but it keeps bouncing back, your email is screwed up".....no mam' that is my website...THIS is my email.

13) "...I know I told you I wanted it like this, but we want it to look like that".........could have told me that YESTERDAY

14) 20 minute conversations that could be done in 5 words....

15) "Hi this is Susan, update your Google listing"

16) Selling a product only to find it's discontinued or out of stock.

17) My credit card getting hacked...

18) employees bringing me packing lists  "says you ordered 2 dozen black, but they sent you 4 dozen navy".......DAMN YOU BRODER

19) Dongles

20) the word "Dongle"

21) typos

22) complaints about shirts with holes - 6 months later....

23) texting orders...no you can't have my cell number and no you can't text me the picture

24) "are you there on Sundays?".....

25) ....."The password you have entered in incorrect"

26) "we are a nonprofit, do you give discounts"

27) "this group doesn't have a lot of money, so can you give us a discount?"

28) "I'm price shopping, I want to see if you can beat this price on 12 shirts"

29) contract customers asking the same questions on every. single. order.

30) "Do you have any shirts that are cheaper?"

31) taking on little "quick" jobs that turn into a total and complete nightmare

32) the "buddy discount theory"




K ....enough B*tching for my monday.....and Tuesday ....

I nail them down, nicely of course, or I can't give them a quote, or that the quote is subject to change when they change something. Black and white to me has always meant just what it says. BTW, the white in a black and white photo is the paper of course, so it's only a black image. I've often used the explanation that a black and white image has 2 parts, the black and the white. On a white shirt, it's a simple one color, black ink print, and vice versa on a black shirt. The shirt color determines whether we print the white part or the black part, if it's to be a one color print. Once we have that part down, it gets a little easier, and most (but not all) understand the explanation.

The only other ones I would add are:

Customer sends email with every detail and then calls to go over it.

I need this order by Friday(comes in to get it sometime during the next week).

Digitizing/vectorizing calls.

Everything Homer said and then when I tell custys we do not print orders less than 12 shirts they say but I really don't need 12 I just wanted one shirt for my daughter her dog got put down last week and I really want this picture of her dog humping my leg. You can't print this from my phone?

Or my favorite.......I have been meaning to stop in I drive by your shop 5 or 6 times a week on my errands
I am leaving for east bum f%#÷ in two days and I want to bring my father a shirt that says .....(some stupid f%\*€£= thing that brings blood to my eyes) !!!!!!!

Or back in the 60's there used to be a guy who could put a design on a shirt right when you were waiting. You can't do that? I think he charged me $5.00.

Homer's number 3 gets on my nerves as well.  They come in and ask how much are your shirts?  Another one, is coming in and right off the bat saying that they are getting prices and wanting to know if we are the cheapest?  Oh and we're missing so many shirts after they've picked up the order and got back to the family reunion and some family member likes them but didn't order one.

Highlight/midtone/shadow is normally the best way to go about it but certainly depends on the graphic/substrate so no.....one color images are not always what they seem on a computer monitor

Had a newbie customer ask me about a dryer we had for sale.
They asked me if they put a blank t-shirt through it, would it come out printed.

"Let me send you my artwork.  I got it off the internet.  You can print that right?"

Once received:
Not only is it a copyrighted low-res pic of the Rolling Stones (or whoever) in postage stamp size, but it's 12 colors and they just want 1.
