Hose problem

Anyone come across this issue? Bought 2 of the same hoses 75 feet because I needed the hose to reach my water source. Attached 1 male end to the other female end but it keeps leaking... Tried to squeeze it as tight as it can but still leaks.
Am I doing something wrong?

check that you have a washer in the female end, and that it's seated properly.
Use pliers for a good tight connection.

Put plumbers tape on the threads before you put them together.
