False thread breaks??
« on: September 21, 2018, 09:11:38 AM »
What could be the main culprit? I have played around with tensions and bobbin casing... It happens on different thread colors, so am I correct in assuming its the robin casing, with the little screw?

Swap in a new bobbin case with the correct tension.

We use magna-glides and remove the bobbin case springs.  It leaves less junk in the hook arm since there is no paper on the bobbins.  Blow out the gunk in and around the rotary hook.

What do you mean by false breaks?
Does it happen on the same needle?
Are you familiar with the threadbreak photo sensors on every needle??????

We once had an issue where the cable to the thread sensor board was a tad short and was pulling apart over time, so if the above doesn't solve the issue you may want to investigate a possible cable issue.
