Printing on teflon-treated garments?
« on: February 19, 2019, 01:31:30 PM »
We have a request to print some tactical shirts that state that they are teflon treated (to resist stains, liquid, etc.). Has anyone had issues with printing on this type of treatment that we should be aware? Any advice to give? I found one past post (http://www.theshirtboard.com/index.php/topic,12451.msg117985.html#msg117985) where Frog stated good outcomes on one brand, just want to get additional input before we move forward.

use extra spray or very new glue on boards. I have had problems with 5.11 professional t shirts especially! some UA stuff too. almost like a silicon finish. get extra to test as ass cover.

Thanks for the input - 5.11 is the brand I'm talking about! We've never printed them before. These are the button-down short sleeves with a vent @ back. $40 each retail, customer supplied goods. Not likely to get extras. Oh yes, Light ink on darks, so PFP @ 3 locations. I'm not feeling real good about this.  :-\

If on arm they have a pen pocket on left sleeve, back - below vent probably ok. just fyi. get one before committing!!! BUTT COVER your self!!!!
