How many prints from a set of cartridges?
« on: April 12, 2019, 01:37:16 PM »
Just found out that our other plant has a Brother GT 782 that they want to send to my location. Just doing some research to get a rough idea as to how many prints I can get out of a set of carts. Let's say
a 11" by 12" full front 4color process on darks with a double hit of white. Something tells me that they
are not charging enough. Don't want to get into prints per hour, just pieces before changing carts.

There are so many variables...but I think your average ink cost per shirt on that machine for a print size like that is around $4-6.

At this point that is a legacy machine...I don't know if it's worth it to print white with it anymore.  CMYK, sure, but white ink costs on the older machines was higher and they waste A LOT...like A LOT LOT LOT

Thanks... Something like that is what I figured. Taking the cost of a 500cc cartridge, it gives me a good idea of what can be done with this machine.
