MHM Registration.
« on: April 04, 2021, 11:38:30 AM »
One of the problems with the older MHM's is that if you register the plattens and then have to adjust a platen it is very hard to get it back to exactly the same zero position.
The new machines have a spring loaded ball that locks in postition.
I registered my Douthitt CTS to my S Type by printing the image in the attached photograph in black.    Without flashing I covered it with a stickey plastic I use for transfers.
I then printed the image in the next head it red.     Registered the head, wiped off the red ink and did all the heads this way.
I then zero'd all the machine scales and put of rings that I made, these fit over the adjustment knob and have a pin that is at 90 deg and makes it easy to see if the head has been moved.
Hopefully this will work, I'll know in a few days.
