100% Poly Safety vests...
« on: October 19, 2012, 12:38:46 PM »
Do I need to have poly ink to print them or a regular Black plastisol will suffice?

Thanks

For black ink, you don't have to worry about poly dye migration, so use your regular ink.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Regular is fine. Some melt BADLY though so a low temp additive (IC) might be in order.

That was my biggest concern :( I knew that there will be no dye migration to the black ink.

Thanks guys

The 3M brand reflective stripes like to pucker real bad so you either have to cover them with a template
(only reasonable on small runs) or use a low temp additive.

Never had one melt or striping pucker....i run them through a little faster as they heat up quick.....regular black ink.......but they stink!....fair warning......they give me a headache....the smell that is.

This is a good candidate for sublimation, if it's available.

I might try smaller pallets and flash curing. Smaller pallets so the excess of the vest will be hanging off the side.

Finally printed these suckers.
Listened to Pierre and they came out pretty good looking.
