Cool, I think I may upgrade to the full t-works, I had thought it was a little better than it was but now realize I really need the full Tworks Manager. One question, you said you run
Yours on a mac, do you use gmail or the in program email history and functionality? I really like that part of it but cant get my gmail to receive emails upon testing. Wonder if the same issue existed in Manager version.

With the history of this software and. Frustration of almost everyone that buys it, I would not touch it with a gun to my head. It's a shame that the last thread didn't get him thinking he needs to fix his issues yet apparently he hasn't and just continues selling. Sorry everyone that doesn't agree but he seems to care more about the bucks than providing what he is selling in a complete professional manner.

Mike, I actually disagree... If he was all about the money he would be charging more.  He certainly could.

I think he's just VERY unorganized and probably has a real job that takes up his time/he doesn't devote enough time or man power to supporting this product.

Could be because of a lack of money because he charges such a reasonable price.

Exactly, that's my reasoning too. I have a second full time job myself, and his software is so reasonably priced, its the only reason I can afford to purchase it. That's why I'd like to help him make his product better, and at the same time, help all of his customers using the product by developing or installing a very simple to use/manage wordpress style 'knowledgebase'. This way, the support is self-supported in one way by customers who can answer questions in the downtime it takes for him to find the appropriate free-time to make responses.

If he has to spend less time making unnecessary support responses, it frees him up for more valuable development time for the app to make improvements more frequently, and an overall better product for all of us as a result of that.

I was personally taking longer than I wanted or felt was needed to get my customers quotes, which is not much different than him struggling to get back to his customers, so I see the correlation to the issue at hand, so I'm offering to help us all for the better.

We use it. I have not had any issues with so far. I need to add it to another remote computer but just have not had the time. For what you can do with it it is well worth the money. His support does need improvement for sure but I have not had issues so far other than when setting it up I did a few things wrong that were my issue. It is pretty easy to use and does great for what I need it to do. I am sure I am still not using all its features but it is doing what I need it to. Keep track of order, billing, sales tax, art files, and customer contact information.

Hey guys, I wanted to come back to say I contacted Joe to offer him some honest help with his Support that he is lacking, and to implement two elements to his business that he is totally aware of and more than ready to address.

I proposed to him that I install a basic FAQ knowledgebase that is quickly accessible for quick troubleshooting, as well as a mini Bulletin Board style forum for each of his Apps that he develops (T-Invoicer, and T-Works)

He was very receptive to my approaching him and doing this for him, and he seemed to be very aware of the recent 'issues' that people here at TheShirtBoard forums had brought up within the past couple months.

Together, I think helping him with this will in the end, help ALL OF US, because remember guys, he's making and developing software, that yes, he has to make a living at, but in the end, the biggest help comes to the end user who can actually appreciate all the insane amount of work it takes to achieve and actively develop this thorough of a piece of software for the asking price, again, this is US. (coding isn't the most stress free of development, I do web development myself, its very stressful at times, give this guy a break) He could also be charging exactly what others are asking, while his program appears to look better, and be better designed than most, you're getting something invaluable in terms of what it does compared to paying a real human to manage all these complex tasks and calculations. I feel this program is a god-send, minus the support part, but whatever, I'm willing to help him fix that for us, and for good hopefully.

I went through and read the issue Eric had with him, and I can't comment on that thread, but I know some wrong things were said, but the truth is, I am not attracted to 'PriceIt' as an alternative, it feels too clunky in terms of the interface (my first observation, NOT my opinion or end evaluation). I did however see some beta previews for what Joe has already announced on the boards here previously as a new version of T-Works (version 2.0) and it does look like it's going to be a solid improvement to the current version of T-Works (which I am sure eats up a lot of Joes time). I am excited for him to be releasing what appears to be such an improved update to his current software, so until he is ready to let everyone see it, please just try and reason with the guy. He' isn't Apple, he's one guy, just trying to do his best while I assume trying to keep a regular day job.

Nobody is perfect. (although again, he realizes his software support is an area for improvement, which is why I offered to step in to help fill that gap for people... All of us shop guys who don't have the big bucks just yet for those pricey subscription softwares, nor am I sure I want to, but I'm not callin anyone silly for using them, to each their own)

Not going to defend anyone here but keep in mind that almost all the mgmt programs for our industry are essentially one man shows.  They can only do so much and yes, at the price most are offered at, need a little help from their users.  Shopworx is the only one that isn't a single person operating the whole shebang I believe and, well, look at the cost of that program. 

I've been working with and, time allowing, on, T-Boss for over a year now.  It's good.  It could be great but, like everything else out there, it would need to either have a larger swarm of users to generate enough income to hire additional programmers and the like or it would need to cost too much per month.  So we tune it up as we can and improve as we go along.  I do not own or have any stake in the program so I'm not shamelessly self promoting but check it out if you are interested in a web-based solution.  It's the only web-based thing out there currently that has actual pricing functionality.  It has a good, clean, client interface, quotes very quickly using as many matrices, markup tables and additional fees as you like and manages garment ordering well enough.  Those are my 3 requirements for any mgmt program- sharp estimates/invoices, fast quoting, manages garment ordering.  Anything else is nice but not required and while a lot of bells and whistles are there in the program they are still being honed in.

I think all these guys with pricing software businesses should pool up their resources and client bases and make one superior web based program, sharing the development, upkeep and profits.  I know that sounds like some socialist lecture probably but it could be a win for everyone.

We got T Works Manager for where I work and it took months to get ahold of Joe to send the license key. I was googling how to reach him and some how came across this email. ubizsoft@gmail.com After calling and emailing him for MONTHS at the contact info on his site, I emailed the one I just listed and he wrote me back WITHIN MINUTES. Hope this helps.

Has this program gotten better since 2013, we've been using his old program T-invoicer 3 for a while now and having a few issue since we upgraded our Win OS but looking at his T-4 or T-works  Pros/Cons

I know this is a old thread but my question is this.  Why in the world would anyone buy software with a company that is hard to get a hold of. I like the quote  "he is hard to get a hold of but once you do he gets the issue resolved" WOW With all the available options out there why why why would anyone deal with that? Is it a possibility we could be spending time doing something else?  LIKE SCREEN PRINTING, SALES, EMPLOYEE TRAINING, BUDGETING, OH HEY HOW ABOUT A SOLID BUSINESS PLAN THAT WOULD HAVE OUTLINED NOT TO BUY SOFTWARE THAT THE GUY IS HARD TO GET A HOLD OF WHEN THERE ARE PROBLEMS. Come on people your smarter than this

We started using his product long long time and I guess the learning a new program all over again is a big reason plus I don't have anything to do with the front the biz LOL, so printing don't stop ;D
