Serious Question (t-works content)
« on: February 20, 2013, 10:29:52 PM »
As i'm sitting here, battleing through getting this set up, realizing that every year i'm going to have to spend a month setting up pricelists, I'm wondering of the shops that use this, what vendors are you using it with?

I use so much American Apparel, Alternative Apparel, and small labels like cygnus and Pima, that i feel i'm wasting my time trying to format this correctly, as even my TSC vendor list doesn't have ALL the American Apparel products i buy.

So for the shops that use this, do you have a dedicated person working on this? Are you using standard vendors and standard tees?

I just punch in my own pricing for items when I work on the quote.
I have Sanmar Price list, and I have never used it because it comes up with some ridiculous numbers.

I do the same thing as Dennis. I do this to tack the true cost of the goods. Since I dont pay the price listed on those files I need it to be as accurate as possible.

yeah, but a lot of the items on websites now aren't in the pricelists.  I run into this with bodek, TSC and NES with their drop ship programs.

t-quoter pricelists are dang easy to make.

the worst pricelists are from Tri-mountain since they have so many oversized shirts and they group the together in the excel file.

i wouldn't want it updated weekly.  I don't pass sale prices along to customers because they will always order after the sale is over.

Thats what I am wondering on Sams system is if the price changes as cost go up or down. Also how does he apply his negotiated rate that he pays. I am sure he is not paying what they give him on the sheets they release.

it is adjusted as needed as the distributors change pricing.  It is based on regular pricing, but you can change your mark up, your print costs, your everything...it took us about 3 months to dial it in and now we have it totally nailed.

we have had priceit for about 8 yrs now...and it keeps a database for us as well as figures for sales charts ect.

I need to watch the videos, I can't figure that program out.  It's so different than what I am used to.  Maybe it a right brain/left brain/dumbass thing?  I've gotta be one of those 3.

I am very satisfied with T-Works. I have set-up price lists for lights, darks, calendered vinyl, cast vinyl, embroidery. Added upcharges, design time, install time for vinyl.....
I'm not on that big of a scale to need price it. I think that if you do not do more than 5-10 invoices a week, or maybe even 20, you would not need anything better.

I wish that the support is better, I did not need it much except when I installed it. It was something simple to fix, but I have heard some other people complain.
Other than that, I like the software.
