Title: How to print this... 8/2
Post by: DCSP John on August 02, 2018, 11:39:18 AM
Hello All...

I have a monster if a print that one of my beverage customers really wants printed.
Of course its on a dark tee.  See attached.

We have Sportsman presses... 10 color. Two heads have flashes.
Can move second flash to give me 9 colors.

Would love advice from our resident sep experts, and if doable,
would like to pay for the expert sep service.

Thanks is advance. - John

Have Dan take a look. Personally I see it as a ten color (min) sim pro D/C providing the garment will work
best tp

I just did a sep similar last night for member on the board here....... This can be done on your press IMO......

I would use base, yellow, orange, fushia, red, cyan, royal, black, top white

create the green with a blend, create the purple with a blend, create the grey with a blend

for sure doable

There are a number of ways that it can be done. It all depends on the customers desired level of perfection, quantity of order and budget.

5 clrs:  Base, Yellow, red, Blue Top white.
6 Clr:   Base, Yellow, red, Blue Purple Top white.
9 Clrs: Base white, Yellow, Green, red, Magenta, Light blue, dark Blue, Purple, Top white.

If you discharged that base, then you could do a full 10 clrs.

In my experience, Purple is much harder to create "well". Always depends on the PMS clr used of the Red and Blue so I usually prefer to use one.

If someone had a bigger press and the customer was really picky and didn't want to see any dots, then you would print all of those tertiary colors as a spot for a more dead on approach.

It all depends on the desire. 9 seems to be the consensus.
