Any TSB activities going on in January at LB? I apologise if I missed a previous post. Thanks everyone
-
I'll be there, most likely just hanging out walking the show this year.

We will be there! Booth #2001
-
I won't be there this year. I hear from Richard Grieves that Pierre won't be there either and Andy, even though it's his neck of the woods, I doubt he will take a leap. ;) Get it? So some of you all will just have to round of the crew for some brew.

Last year Alex M said he'd buy me a beer. He didn't. I'm not falling for that one again.
I'd like to go , but looks doubtful.
Y'all have a good show!!!

Dragged out on the rug!
I’ll just have to come visit the shop this year.
Hope all is well! Enjoy your holidays.

This could be a once in a lifetime chance for anyone at the show on Saturday or Sunday... The bosses are letting me loose on the Long Beach crowds. I will be available for Autographs and Selfies in booth 1825 both days...
Seriously though, I would love to meet everyone face to face if you have a spare five minutes to come by. Also, I'd love to know if you see anything worth checking out at the show since it will be full of so much great stuff. Being in Social Media, I'm always looking for something amazing to post. I'd even be willing to host a livestream demo if anyone is interested in playing along!

How does Donut Fiend stack up when we have Voodoo Donuts in Portland?
But I hate to tell you, the best spot is the little taco stand on Pine Ave across from Agave Tequila Bar.
Late night taco from there are the jam.

Voodoo is good, but if you are a punk rock nerd (or a fan of independent music from the 90s/00s), Donut fan is clearly the winner. All donuts are punk themed, and it's owned by the drummer of Drive like Jehu.

I can confirm the late evening taco truck is magic.

Voodoo Donut used to have Robitussin donuts I think. FDA shut that down quick

Hey Eric, also a fan from music of that era and those donut names are hilarious...Poppygandhi? Jets to Basil? I think I'll have to stop by on our way into the show

I officially rename this the Donut thread

Google Mark Trombino. Not only are all Punk Puns awesome, the donuts are unique, and i haven't had a bad one yet. PLUS, they are open till like 2am on the weekends. ALSO, if you go on Friday/Saturday night, the whole street turns into a Vegan food mecca.
but yes, ISS is cool.
-
What? I'm not a donut fan but the whole street is vegan food? Where is this? Can I come????
-
Hey Eric, is Donut Friend Long Beach or LA? How far is the donuts from ISS world?
-

It's in LA. i think it's about 30-45 mins away. We stay up there, cause we have alot of clients in that area.
-

Have Eric bring you some, it's a ways away. Few donuts are worth a drive that distance on L.A. freeways.
-
people complain about LA traffic all the time. I live in Houston. Every highway is under construction all the time, forever.

Problem with LA driving is that it is huge, and folks just become accustomed and numb to spending a few hours each day on the road. (some of it at very low speed)

Great idea! Hey Eric, did you hear that? I will be expecting some donuts each morning. Thanks in advance. Your pal, Danny

just wait till the vegans get involved (aka me)

I'm a few and far between poster, but my brother and I will be there walking the show. Been three years since the last Long Beach show so excited to see what's going on and talk shop with peopel. and yes, alcohol will trump the LA donuts though they do sound good... Our spot of choice is Sushi Studio (Now OHO Sushi Studio). great happy hours and killer, killer sushi.
That plus staying on the Queen Mary. Can't beat it imo. cool rooms, great art deco bar, you can tour a huge amount of the ship, and if you really want can go sit in the AA guns that are still on the top deck from its service in WWII. our grandfather was shipped to europe in that thing.. like deck M or something, I think he said once he got on board he never saw daylight again until arriving there.

Hello all, Al from Murakami will be at booth 1763 to help solve screen issues. It's raining cats and dogs today, has been for a week, and on cue it will clear out Fri, Sat, and Sun. Surf is huge today. Since we are on donuts, Street Car Donuts Costa Mesa, Maple with thick Bacon chunks for 4 bucks, yeah. Were's my cholesterol meds.
-
To those that attended LB.
Did you see anything new that’s worth mentioning?
-
One of the better looking shows in a long time!
Was there on Friday. Vendors were hoping for a rush of people.
DIGITAL . It is the future. After 40 years in screen printing, a little hard for me to swallow.
MHM finally has a distributor that gives a $hitt!
Some nice blank company startups.
Some new screen washing machines.
A push towards automation! In all areas Not sure where that goes? What is the ROI?
Push on small and startup companies. Dont like the idea of one company, owning the ink market!
Energy in that booth was dead. Maybe a chance for smaller startups?
Embroidery machines were very interesting! Lots of interest
Will be interesting how screen printing merges with digital?
I see lots of people buying diigital machines and starting up in their garages or bed rooms at home.
Heat transfers looked really good! The future also.
Just a few observations...

Looks like the new guys want to revive the MHM reputation that Hirsch has totally trashed over the years. I made a request for information this morning and the rep has already replied... nice change I hope they revive and build the brand to what it should be.

SPSI is a good company

Here's what I don't understand though. SPSI, who do seem like a great company, have been a dealer for MHM since the 80's, or at least very early on. What's so different now?
Edit: I just read the article and it seems like a more contractual/giving the baton to SPSI in name and service. Makes sense.
