we are Looking for a NEW flock powder supplier. Who do you buy from? Ok last week we received 30 lbs of black Flock powder and it was clumpy and moist so it wouldn't shake in the auto flocker. We had to hand flock 500 units front and back.. What a mess. We had it on press 15 minutes after it arrived. We contacted the well known supplier and they wont take responsibility or replace it.. We spent 25k on powder last year( I know that's not much compared to the big guns on here but still its enough) Please recommend some suppliers.. Thanks in advance

Rick;
Put it in a small room with a dehumidifier. I remember those issues from when I worked for someone else and that's what I did to make it manageable. We had problems with suppliers as well so in the mean time you might try that.

Not an immediate fix, but perhaps the situation could also be aided by the addition of silica gel packs in the bag.

Thank you for the responses..I finally got it all worked out with them and they are issuing a credit for the bad product. That saved the relationship. We are now getting it bagged up in 5 lb bags and only ordering by the job to help reduce the variables. We do use a humidity tester. Thanks again

Rick, tried to PM you but the server gave multiple 500 errors, so I am just gonna post it.
If your willing to work with me I would be more than pleased to get some samples into your hands at no cost. The only request that I would make is that you actually evaluate it, produce some finished product samples for me to see and give me your honest opinion. The glitter flake I sourced from this company was excellent and I have every reason to think the flock will be too. I have wanted to work on getting this into my product offerings for some time now but need to have it evaluated in a production setting by someone who both has the specific automatic equipment, and knows how to actually use it.
All I need are some material specs of what you work with now and what would be enough (1-2 pounds?) material to perform a proper evaluation.
If you would like to talk, you can always give me a ring. 614-918-0214 anytime.
