Title: 3D Puff Max Stitch Length
Post by: 1964GN on April 01, 2016, 07:36:03 AM
We have avoided doing puff to this point but would like to start offing it. A customer has a design and the puff area, at first glance, looks to be at least 3/4" at it's widest point (I haven't measured it yet, could be an inch).

So, my question is... was it the max acceptable stitch length for puff. I'm looking for a comfortable number, not the length that makes you pucker every time you sew it :)

Nope.
I try to stay under 1/2". Even there, machine slows a lot to accommodate the width.
Also, your machine should have a max stitch length somewhere in the paperwork.
