What is the best brand of shirt for discharge??

I don't know if I can say which brand is "best", but I've found that garments with 30 singles print better than basic cotton tees. A really great printing surface for me has been the Bella and Canvas 3001. If you are looking for a super inexpensive tee that prints well, I would say Fruit of the Loom HD cotton. Since discharge sits into the fabric rather than on top, it's best to print on tighter weave shirts. Hope that helps!

Also take a look through this section for links to brand charts that rate their colors for dischargeability. I believe that Anvil and Gildan do this.

ok, The lighter weight tees will give you a softer hand is you have the right set up...mesh, modified ink, squeegee, ink brand,amount of activator, penetrant etc. so as far as printability that's all in your shop set up and exp. with discharge water base. It just isn't cut and dry as to the best tee for discharge and any exp. discharge printer will reinforce that. As Andy said as far as dis chargability anvil and gildan have charts that will give you a A-C rating. If it says C don't fool yourself and think its gonna work..ITS NOT.. Mr. Pepitone is the resident expert with water base discharge inks and applications and he may chime in with his thoughts and suggestions.
