General Screen Printing / Re: Laminate over pallet tape?

heat will make it shrivel up like George in the pool..... ;D

we put on multiple layers of tape, one as a "base" and then two or three for quick changes. Sure is a pecker to reapply though...

General Screen Printing / Laminate over pallet tape?
« Last post by farmboygraphics on Today at 01:53:03 PM »
This will probably only apply to the shops that also do signs in house, but has anyone ever tried putting laminate over the pallet (transfer) tape?
I'm not sure how well it would hold up to the flash or hold tack. Just a thought I had while printing some hoodies.  ;D
If I remember, I think I'll try it on one board next time I change tape.

Equipment / Re: Work Horse Quartz conveyor dryers... worth it?

def want to go forced air as it is time to take WB ink seriously.

If you are upgrading and planning for growth and even *remotely* considering WB ink, get a gas dryer with the longest tunnel you can fit in that 1600 sq ft. Anything shorter than 12' and you will be pulling your hair out balancing proper cure and production speed. 16' is even better if you plan on an auto.

A decent condition used Sprint (or even a mini Sprint) will spank every electric dryer on the market.

thanks for the heads up! ill check them out.

i guess it comes down to not understanding how the RIP is actually working.

Moral of the story... always make sure everything is converted to outlines. It just blows my mind that the raster data was changed from a vector font being present and not outlined.
