Yo guys, finally was able to play around with one that is somewhat fun...... I did this design about a year ago for one of my contract clients and had dtd do a sep on it....This is a simulated duct tape and the look is super awesome. I have had people come up and think the tape is real and try to pick this off the shirt. I could get it looking better but since these are just a thank you gift I didn't want to put too much into it...
5 colors total on this plus a clear gel so the duct tape has the same sheen as real tape....Edit went back and checked, my brother outputted the screens at 55 lpi.
Anyways, let me know what you think

I'd like one as well. I can't believe that's not real
-
That is simply amazing, both the separation work and the print.

Got me beat by a longshot. This was 3 colors:

Base, Grey, Hilite. Apparently duct tape lends itself to screen printing pretty readily!

Thanks guys, I'll see if we have any extra laying around that I can send your way... I wouldn't charge anyone here for one but I need to see if we kept any....... I'm the worst in the world at keeping samples. We've printed some pretty sweet designs but I rarely keep anything as samples...... Need to put that on my list of things to start doing.

Fantastic! Get work. great effect. My only problem with any of it is it's the same image of the tape 3 times. that not taking away from the execution of a wonderful print.
-
Ha. Very funny. This is real duct tape. You almost had me. You know where you go for lying. Your mother was right....it just gets easier after the first lie. Shame on you. Go to your room.
Ummmm..... Can I have one too??
Awesome job, and that goes for Dan too!

top 5 coolest prints I have ever seen. nicely done both you .

Word... that does look amazing. I had to start thinking that these guys were right and it was a hoax!
I want one too! Will easily pay for it.

Both of those are pretty damn nice work guys. Eb even the 3 color looks awesome in the photo.

This is pretty amazing. No matter how many times you look at the image it's just hard to believe it's not real duct tape.
Great job guys!

WOW. Blast from the past. Seeing it again impresses me. :)
For some reason, I didn't have these in my printed portfolio. Gott'em now.
As I remember, the difficult part is not actually being there in the shop when they are being printed.
I knew this could be good when I was doing it but you have to rely on who's doing the printing.
Ever look over someone's shoulder and want to get in their and help or make changes or do it yourself. You raise your arms to reach in to start to take over and then pull back cuz ya know you need to let them do it. Yea, it's like that. LOL. Well, when doing seps from my place to yours, you don't even get the chance to look over their shoulder. So, you sit and wait for a picture.
It's sort of the same idea as having your wife give birth. You know this is going to be good and all you are allowed to do is sit in the waiting room till they tell you they are done.
That part I loved about working (at) as shop. You could make corrections on press and even film revisions were a matter of under 30 min. to screens.
With Danny here, It was easier than that. I'd have to say, that he's sort of like Pierre in that they never give up till they get it "perfect". Perfectionist. I think this is what it takes. A drive or a continuous strive for perfection. Job well done. You have arrived.

eb, Yours is a job well done as well. Great job using 3 colors. Tough to do.

I've done some 'tape' work when I was back at Mirror Image. Rick nailed it and that is what started it all.
Great job on the execution of a fantastic print! if in fact that is really a print ;)
Press next to me was doing some duct-tape work yesterday, the look of when the tape is pulled off and leaves that residue behind.. yeah it was tight!

This is amazing! Nice work to all involved.
