Will the IR thermometer we use to test our ovens take the temperature of a person?
Can we use them for Coronavirus temp testing?
-
Not accurately. I think that it's too much input from ambient temp.

I tried with mine, and I'm apparently dead... ;) 92°

You might be able to use it to establish a base line. Then is the temp spikes, you'll have an indication there might be a problem. If it registers room temperature, you're too late.

Where are you guys aiming it? With a wide open mouth, red dot on the uvula, I just got a reading of 98. On forehead, 10 degrees lower!
With a purpose built thermometer in my ear, the readings have been between 96 and 98.4 (96.2 just now)

I tried my mouth, and my partner's mouth, we're both dead. However, I haven't gone through the calibration of the unit. So maybe there's hope ;D
