« on: June 26, 2015, 12:32:40 PM »
I may have the opportunity to trade the old Javelin for a Epson F2000 CMYK+White.

Anybody have any comments, suggestions, things to look for?

yay, nay?

Thanks!

I honestly don't know enough about them.  Epson did modify the heads so it's not a modded printer based on the 4800 series.

Epson F2000 have a real part issue when reach 10.000 print, biggest problem is the CR Duct/Damper Assembly.
If you never heard about it, don't worry, once you will have the printer you will know fast what it is  ;D

So it is mandatory to get the  extended warranty -  $2700 per year

What I don't like
Ink per liter is one of the highest
RIP given with the machine is not the best
Always have to rely on a espon technician, you can not open or repair the machine yourself under warranty, even basic stuff.
White channel loss for no reason, real annoying to wait for the technician !

What is good
The print quality, white coverage is not bad.
The support is ok
Using Neorip for F2000 give you greater print quality and ink saving.
3rd party platen can be found

You will found great deal of info on t-shirtforum
