FWIW, I was in the same debate not too long ago--ended up with a 70D, and I'm rather impressed with it for the money.

Nice too that if I ever get crazy about shooting, all the EF lenses I get will work on a full frame body.

correct, EF will work EF-S will not, so as long as you stick with the regular EF lenses you will be OK!

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!
