ISS Long Beach 2017 Event Restrictions
• No infants or children under the age of 16 will be permitted on the show floor. Proof of age is required.  Please note Emerald Expositions reserves the right to accept, reject or prohibit registration for or attendance at its events at any time for any reason.
• No cameras or video equipment allowed on the show floor. Violators will be prosecuted.
• No strollers or rolling carts larger than airline carry on size are permitted on the show floor.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

that age thing has always made me go hmmmm... I've seen kids on the floor before so not sure how strict they are.

I am almost positive that there are provisions for students in our field.
I think that otherwise, it could be two-fold:

A bunch of kids running around can be obnoxious, and it would be an absolute goldmine for older kids who just want the goodies and won't ever buy a damn thing.

Bottom line is they are charging exhibitors a pretty penny and essentially promising them a good target audience. Pewrhaps they don't want that audience diluted with too many non-industry "plus-ones"

I get it. Parents these days don't understand how their kids should behave and would let them run around willy nilly. My kids never acted that way, never pitched tantrums when we told them no you can't have that. Discipline has gone to the way side.
