Filmmaker 4 dongle
(1/1)
rmonks:
Any other FilmMaker 4 users having problem with plastic dongle sides breaking off. I'm on my second dongle, I am very careful with this, but plugging it in the USB port tends to catch and it starts cracking and eventually breaks off. Wish they would make the housing out of a more durable material

I've seen damaged dongles (ouch!)
You could get a short usb extension cord, keep it permanently attached to the dongle.

Excellent idea, but.................
Instead of a short one, I'd suggest a 6 footer and wrap some electrical tape around the connection after joining to eliminate any movement. Then there's lots of slack for the 'extender' to take all the movement and eliminate any from the Dongle.
I think that would work.

similar topic or actually USB product.................
I have a commercial drone with a flaw, micro USB port on transmitter is fragile, breaks if micro USB is installed wrong way up.
Problem solved with this product, micro usb is uni directional, neat idea and real quality cables.
