DIY on my unit 5 Way

(1/2) > >>

3Deep:
Awhile back I was looking to get some new flos' for may old 5 way exposure unit, and found out they no longer make them or they will if I bought a full case.  Well a good friend of mine had problems with his exposure unit and converted it to a LED unit, burning screens at 11 seconds, so I bought the same equipment he told me to buy and in about 15 minutes I had my unit converted over just by removing two wires and hooking up the other two.  The light is a single point 100 watt LED and I'm getting great screens at 30 seconds, it's at 18 inches from the glass right now, which I believe I can bring that time down with a different emulsion ( I'm using HXT right now which I think has a very high solid in it), but I think I can live with 30 seconds it's better than the 8 minutes and the glass being super hot after a couple of screens being exposed before.  Oh did I mention the added detail I'm getting now WOW!!

mk162:
Nice, who cares about shaving a few seconds off at this point, you shaved off over 7 minutes.  Single point LED is a great upgrade from tube.

3Deep:
Tell me about it ;D

Frog:
3deep, how about posting details about the light?

3Deep:
High Power Led Chip 100W Purple Ultraviolet (UV 395nm/3000mA/DC 30V-34V/100 Watt) SMD COB Light Emitter Components Diode 100 W Ultra Violet Bulb Lamp,  that light also comes with a heat sink and a fan, but I have yet to use the fan as the light does not stay on long enough to really get hot, Oh and you have to have this conversion box LED Driver 3000mA (Constant Current Output) 21V-34V (In 110V-240V AC-DC) 100W IP67

This was and is a great fit for my old unit, kept me from tossing it out and spending much more money on a new unit.
