Yes, I would love a donut probe. Unfortunately it is practically impossible to get a used one here and new.. well.. not in my reach yet. I have these little paper strips I use for the heat-press and can see that I reach at least that temperature, but yes, measuring would be great.

I've got one that I've used maybe 4 times and pulled the battery out.  It's been in it's case ever since that I'd let go for a couple of hundred and shipping if you are interested.  If I remember right from atkins, it was around $495 when I purchased it.

Thanks for the offer, but alone postage from the US is expensive right now. (Just bought a couple of ceramic standoffs for the dryer.. they went for 2$ but postage 19$..)

I use an age-undefined (=very old) Tiflex HIMALAYA low cure. Should be good to go at 140C. And now with arround a minute I can´t see cracking.
