A good day yesterday!
« on: February 04, 2012, 05:29:50 PM »
kind of a long story short.
Beat the widow maker yesterday!
Feel GREAT today.  5 stints opened up 100% blocked artery and a couple of other bad places.  2.5 hours of surgery, I was awake with no sedation the whole time, really pretty cool.
Glad to be here, no more smoking, eat better and exersise more, maybe I'll be able to print a little longer.  I feel like a pretty lucky guy!

hold up.  They opened up your chest and messed with your arteries while you were just hanging out awake???

Or is this the kind where they put a little device in through a small cut?

Glad you feel better!

Damn, you are lucky. Many don't get by the widow maker, it's got that name for a damn good reason.

Wow.
I don't feel nearly as sorry for myself with my relatively minor issues.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

WOW, good for you! 100% blocked... and they did it all without zippers. Amazing.

Yes, ditch the smokes for good, take walks and start eating right... fresh foods and grass-fed meats.

One of my best friends had a quadruple bypass a few months ago, as he avoided the widow maker at a normal heart check up. They wouldn't let him go home and did the surgery the next morning. He feels better than he has for the last 10 years. Take care of yourself, there's people that care out there.

Good for you. I'm glad you feel better. I have Netflix and I ran across a documentary called "Forks, not Knives". It's about food and how you can change what you eat to help these kinds of situations. I recomend it to anyone interested in their health.

Thanks for the tip ron.

I have always liked the title of Mike Huckabee's book: Quit Digging Your Grave With a Knife And Fork.
