well not open

I cannot open x4 from the start menu or any other place except for a saved piece on of work on my desktop. any Ideas?

sounds like a link is broken, just repair your install with your x4 disk

Right click on the program icon in the start menu and see if the path is correct. Then check and make sure the program is actually at the path and not some how moved.
