Game on!
« on: June 13, 2011, 08:15:57 AM »
Just found out this weekend that another printer is moving into the town I am in. Not to thrilled about this...they are better and faster and bigger.. they have the ability to really affect my business...I think competition is good sometimes not so sure here.

I just confirmed with my landlord about more space when I can get an auto..

Maybe the locals will not bolt because of my charm.. :)

What is the population of the city you live in??

My is about 5,500 and therre are about 3 or 4 printers here.

And more in the next town over.

Quality over Quantity

Its not the bigger or faster to be worried about it is the “better” part.

Dependable, on time, good graphics, quality printing, friendly service and you can beat over 80% of your competition hands down.
When there are no standards, you must make them!

I agree with all the above.. also why is a bigger, better, faster printer moving to your town, what is wrong with the town he was in?  Is this a branch operation, was he already operating in the town down the road.. or did he make everyone in last town so mad he has to move?  Lot of ifs here... and maybe you don't need an automatic just step up your customer service... don't go looking for his work, work on keeping your own.. if you are anygood at all you will survive.. obviously you have less overhead, keep it that way
