It took me a second to figure out how that drawing worked, but ya that is essentially a geneva drive. There's a bit more to the mechanism on my press though.

All jokes aside,(which for me is usually a challenge) Stu I would really like to check out some pics of how it works. It would just be cool to know.

I had an old 5 color multi printer Arrow and that bad boy was heavy, it was a great machine index was very smooth quiet and a church mouse even the head going down and up was quiet, just old and out dated and hard to keep in register on more than 2 to 3 colors.
