Booked my ticket today to LA, coming again with my son Tamir.
Hope to see a lot of you there.
Who is organizing the TSB dinner?

Good question. Who's going from here? There might be a chance that I will be going but a slim one.
I would assume (haven't asked him yet), but would assume that the great Frog himself might make an appearance. It is his neck of the woods.

We will only be at the convention on Saturday. Heading home on sunday. Bringing a couple of my guys with me.

As for dinner.. we have to find a new place, the tap house has horrible seating and the menu was very limited.

Friday night might be better, last year Ryonet had a event on Sat night and invited a lot of people from the TSB

We can do Fri. :) . Myself and our Production Mgr Will Booth will be coming in Fri morning but I'm trying to get that changed to Thurs night.
Someone needs to stay behind and run the show, so it looks like Tony will be holding down the fort.

I haven't talked to him, but he has classes so he will at least be in the vicinity.
Also, some big news.... Mr. Dave Filip(Bimmridder) just got clearance from the parole board to leave his state... He also confirmed with the state of CA that they will in fact have a adequate supply of alcohol on hand for him to visit. Dave will be in LB this year! Anyone who knows him knows what a treat this will be. ;D

I just spoke to Greg and he's in for dinner. I also have Josh Keane from Thread Monster joining as well. He is staying with a whole group 4-6 printers so he might bring a few with him. This could get big if everyone shows up for sure.

Friday night is the night.
I think we all would be fine with Bubba Gump. Not sure of that location (how far from the show) since some people will be trying to walk , get a cab or shuttle.

From the sound of it, it could be about 30 people that are saying they are going but you know how that changes up as time gets closer. Could be 10, 20 or 35 people.
That's what makes it hard to get a place that will accommodate. To hold a room/space where we all can be together for sure, sometimes they require reservations and an exact number.
Some may even charge for the room.

Yardhouse and Parkers is right behind convention center.
I've checked on three of them and they all seem to require you to contact the location directly for parties of 30 or less just before. Above 30, they want to reserve and schedule a specific meal plan. I don't think that will work. Looks like we will wing it and it just come down to the location.
I'm good with Bubba Gumps. Lets plan on that one. 6pm

We would love to join everybody at ISS Long Beach but we are busy and would hate to shut down again so soon after our week off over Christmas. We may try to schedule it in for next year.

The smaller circle with red dot in center. That is where the Bubba Gump Restaurants is located. The larger circle is the convention center.
Friday, 6pm. We do not have a specific spot at the restaurant but I think if you ask the people working at the restaurant, they will point you in the right direction to us.

I plan on showing up for at least a little while, work plans for dinner are currently 7/7:30... Not sure if I have to go :)

Returned to Israel after ISS Long Beach, I usually try and visit a printer while in the USA.
This year I spent a day with Danny in Denver, Charlie Taublieb came by and we spent some time in Danny's shop and then went to a shop that runs about 14 MHM's.
I find that I learn a lot visiting other shops and thanks to Danny for having me, as we all know he's a master of the trade.
I first went to one of Charlies lectures at Long Beach in 1994, he's taught me a lot over the years.
I am attaching some photographs, Danny, Charlie and yours truly. Danny in his shop and Charlie next to his cool car.

Dan, that was great timing to catch me with one eye open and the other shut. lol
It was great to meet everyone. We had a fantastic time. We spent 4 more days out there with our daughter from Vegas so it was a trade show/Vacation combo.
