Title: Stressed with Nazdar!
Post by: DannyGruninger on September 19, 2017, 12:38:42 PM
Has anyone had issues ordering from Nazdar? They have completely dropped the ball on an order I placed with them putting us in a bind here for the 2nd time in the last two months. I sent them an order on 9/6 nearly 2 weeks ago. Last week they call saying the order was shipping, all good..... Then last thursday I get an email saying the stuff hasn't shipped that I need it expedited so they tell me it will arrive by Saturday.... Well it's tuesday and still nothing so I call them back up today and they say it hasn't shipped yet...... WTF! Not to mention they lost our account, and when something is out of stock they fail to let us know. Overall just curious if anyone else is having issues as it seems like they cant get the most basic of order right for us. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH  >:( >:( >:( >:( BTW, they told me on the phone that I would have to pay to expedite ship the product here!!! That's like us dropping the ball on a t shirt order, being 2 weeks late then telling the client oh yeah we messed up caused delays but you need to pay for it. PFHHH

We had an issue with an order last week. We were told the order got lost and the blame fell on their new computer system. It took about a week from order date to receive the product when it's normally a one day ship.

Keeping my fingers crossed my order shipped as I could not get through to anyone nor did they email a tracking number today after I sent at least 3 emails. I was extremely clear to them I needed the shipment overnight tomorrow via phone this morning  even on my ups if they won't accept handling the order wrong and pick up the shipping. We will find out in the am...

yes...ordered 2 gallons of mixing ink.  We're only a 1 day ship from them.  2 days later our rep popped in, I mentioned to him we didn't receive anything yet...he said they were actually closed for inventory, and something about the new system, he would let me know when it's shipping.  Next day, I still don't hear back, so I call and tell him I really need this mixing ink for a job we're starting today...They have no stock in the one color...the other color he did drop off for us.

A week later I ordered a 5 gallon of white for a job we were going to be running and a few other other supplies...doesn't show up.  We're in the middle of a 1000 piece run that is sucking down white(luckily we had just enough).

I was told they are just playing catch up right now...but it makes me nervous to order anything we need right away.

Things have changed over there. They do not call when something is back ordered. About a month ago they were out of D-BASE in all locations. When a product  that popular is out of sock something is going on internally or financially.

I have started to move my purchasing to another supplier. About a year ago I had a huge blow up with them because they were charging me hazardous shipping on 4 quarts of Liquid Renuit. Well I usedf to work on the supply side and I know renuit does not ship hazardous below a certain quantity. I argued with them several times on the phone then called CCI directly and got paper proof Renuit only ships hazardous above 5 gallons. Back on the phone with Nazdar I was able to get a refund of some of the money we lost in hazardous shipping costs. Fast forward today and recently I had a bad convo with one of their CS because they still try and charge me the %30 haz charges every time we order 4 quarts of Renuit. The problem is they put the burden on the customer to inform them that the less than 5 gallons does not require Hazardous shipping, if you do not inform them at purchase they are brain dead and charge it anyways because their 1990's computer system is not intelligent enough to break down shipping requirements based on quantity. My problem is I have 2 different people that will sometimes call in orders and they do not know to inform them that the Renuit does not require haz charges. So when this happens I have to call them and get the charges reversed.

It is ridiculous that their system cannot automatically deal with something as simple as this.

I can only imagine how many people are being ripped off the $30 hazardous shipping fees on their Renuit not knowing it is not needed.

We just went thru that exact senario with D-white of all products. The worst part is they don't call with options.

Thankfully I don't have to deal with Nazdar very often, and when I do need products from them almost every time I can just get it through MidWest.

That said everyone has hiccups. A few months back I had 3 different  supply companies dropped the ball all within a week......and WTF, I said 8 cases how did you hear 3.

Since when did it become the SOP for people to need to ask for tracking numbers and Confirmation emails.

Agreeing with this! Not limited to NazDar at all. In an industry where vendors know their customers (printers) are constantly working on deadlines, it is frustrating to have to go hunting this stuff down. Happens frequently when I order mill-direct shipments through certain garment vendors. The worst is when the job has been scheduled based on when supplies/goods should arrive, and then they fail to show up, and I have to stop to track them down.

(And the lesson for suppliers: the better you are at keeping my job stress-free, the more of my business you're likely to get! )

I've been using Nazdar since the Greensboro location was the Podgor Co. back in the early 90's and I've had some funky stuff lately too. Ordered a gal of brite tiger, got a fiver. Ordered 305 mesh, got 156.

Haz fees are the #1 reason why I stopped buying from them. #2 they're charging me sales tax the they are out of state, #3 they effeed up the last 3 of our orders in one form or another. The only thing I buy from the now is silicone ink and I make sure to buy it way in advance so it actually gets here.

Too big to fail? Not when there are so many other better vendors out there.

With that being said, when I need some crazy ink for a weird project, there really is nobody else to call. But I do my best not to take on weird flat stuff anymore.

I stopped dealing with them when I ordered a squeegee sharpener and then was contacted by email saying they couldn't deliver that to my area.   I ended up buying a used one and then 2 days later a brand new one showed up at the shop from Nazdar.  I called them and told them I wouldn't be needing that one and I needed to send it back.  That's when they informed me that there would be a restocking fee.  Thank God, I saved the emails.  I know everyone makes mistakes but they were kind of nasty about it.

Well... it certainly sounds as if Nazdar has lost some customers and will probably struggle to get them back.
Which may explain their 20% off sale.

In my case, I ordered 2 gallons of Epic Quick White and one gallon of Epic Matte Black.
... Placed the order on Tuesday A.M. and took delivery today (Thursday).
The "delivered" price was cheaper from Nazdar than the "Will Call" price at Midwest.

Because Midwest has always raked its customers over the coals with pricing....
