Title: Choking a white base correctly?
Post by: kidink on August 16, 2023, 09:53:14 AM
When working in photoshop with a white base that has a mixture of solid areas and halftones, what's the correct way to choke it without messing with the gradations and areas that are not 100%

Thanks

Depending on the resolution, I just make the selection and Select menu, Modify, and Contract. Zoom in to get a sense of how much you need to choke and give it a shot, maybe make a duplicate file to test on and leave your original alone until you've made a decision...

You should probably expand the top color unless you are printing with very opaque inks…
