Post by: 3Deep on March 21, 2022, 11:30:57 AM
Just picked up a epson WF 7620, anyone use this printer for printing film? trying to see which way I want to go, if not for a backup film printer maybe a sublimation printer since it prints 13x19 sheets

I have a similar WF-7210. using it mostly for transfers, I use pigment inks, but still make very usable films.

Good deal, since I already have a printer setup for DTF, I might look at using it for sublimation? or best yet a film printer since my 1430 is acting crazy

I don't think that any "real" RIPs work with this model though, so halftones, the way you're used to doing could be an issue.

Epson make so many printers it's crazy, but I found a rip called Printfab that might work, they claim to have a one time fee and it's yours, I have an old version of cadlinks first Rip Photoscript 7 and it I had a printer that would still work with it, it still functions fine, then they changed it to filmmaker for bigger money LOL
