Title: pallet support arm bouncing on M&R auto
Post by: Rockers on May 20, 2019, 10:51:35 PM
Last year December we moved to our new factory. M&R tech came to install our automatic press again, a Diamondback S. Today I noticed that one support arms is bouncing up and down when when you apply pressure to it. I can grab it and move it up and down. It`s the same arm that had caused us problems over the last few month when printing. There were always issues clearing the screen and at first we suspected the print pallets as we were that some of them were warped a little. But now I probably found the real reason. All the other arms are sturdy. I checked the bolts and nuts but can`t find any of them to be loose. Am I`m overlooking something?

So if the nuts and bolts a good on the arm I would check the pallet leveling bracket nuts. If that is the problem you need to re-level that pallet.

I've had that happen on our sportsman.  We had an issue with the screen not clearing on one side and found that one of the pallet leveling nuts had came off.

Also, check for any broken metal.  We had a similar problem on our RPM and found a spot where the metal had cracked from abuse mixed with what I think was a design flaw(the press was used).  We ended up welding a support fin under each arm at the weak spot and fixed it from ever happening again.

OUCH, Yea Brad that is a very common problem with those.

they addressed it in the most recent version of the press.  Luckily though I can weld...not perfect, but enough to get me by.
