Title: Supplier for top notch static frames wanted
Post by: Rockers on August 29, 2019, 06:20:03 AM
So where is everyone buying their static frames then these days?
I`m after as flat as possible static frames, no mesh required.

I`m only after the good stuff;) If the frames can`t handle 28N and start to buckle at those tension levels then that`s no good to me.

I stretch my own frames using GSF frames and can recommend them.
I shipped them out of the USA so I stood fames inside frames lying one on the other, saved a lot on shipping.

1+ for GSF they make some solid screens.

We also have a bunch from Quality Crafts Inc.(800-827-9363) Out in Oregon somewhere. These ones are noticeably more robust and sturdy. Downside is they are heavier.

I have probably 25 or so 25*36's of the ones from Quality Crafts Inc. I'd sell if anyone is interested.

What frame size did you get? 23x31? How much did you end up paying per frame?
Ordering frames here in Japan will probably cost me at least US$40, that`s without mesh. And no they are not coated with gold. But very good quality and flat.

I bought them a while ago.
I think they cost around $16 each at the time.
I bought 23x31”.
I had them stacked 31” high and them stood frames up inside.    This made the shipping a lot cheaper,
You can work out how many frames you can pack like this and order accordingly.
I have a MHM and I add my own registration pins.    I think today they sell they with pins welded on.
Might we worth checking.

Thanks a lot.
How flat are those frames? All 4 corners are flat?
