This makes three. Take your pick. We have an Off-Press System, An On-Press System and now this new one - a Roll Up Pallet Paper Changing System. Price to be determined.

Gotta love engineers; making something simple 100x more complicated than it needs to be. And adding the price to match. Is there anyone actually willing to spend $1,100 on a tape dispenser?!
I built this for about $12. http://www.theshirtboard.com/index.php/topic,19058.0.html (http://www.theshirtboard.com/index.php/topic,19058.0.html)

Thank you. Nice of you to comment. I've had people ask for solutions many times. This approach is a very good one. To do it at the level of quality that I would want in my shop takes more than a couple of pieces of scrap wood.
-
Yeah, but paint those scrap pieces or cover them in foil tape and BOOM, looks legit. ;)

Have you guys been bought out by Roq? Why is everything green?

Hi Maxie -
No sir, we haven't. We switched to this color before they were in the states. The same time that Hopkins did. We showed up at the show and were right across from Riley. We both laughed.

Eric ,The product looks great and has a place in some shops. Not a fit for everyone but you responded to requests in other threads and now you get to hear the negativity. Thanks for your products over the years.
-
Eric I'll try to get back to you on this nxt wk...........interesting.
-
Yeah, that would have zero use here, but I can see a shop with multiple autos using something like that. I think it would make more sense with a storage tray/drawers on the bottom for extra rolls. Make it a mobile unit that can hold all the tools as well. Or extra razor blades, etc.

Perhaps I was a bit too quick in my reply.

While I would always encourage civility, I think that many members and guests place a high value on honest, straightforward comments. I am also proud of the ingenuity often displayed here by our members in the DIY section.
I grew up in SoCal during what many consider the golden age of sports car racing, and some of the home-built jobs and "specials" were slick and damn competitive. That said, who wouldn't want a D Jag or Birdcage Maserati?

I agree with this post. $1100 is very expensive for something that can be made very cheap.
Whats wrong using wood if it does the same thing as aluminum for this application. That's a nice unit kingscreen built.
Its very easy and fast to change paper by hand. Just my thoughts.

I wasn't trying to put down the product. I'm sure it's great. Action makes great products and my shop is full of their stuff.
I was simply stating my opinion on this one specifically, which I assumed kosher on a discussion forum. Very few people will be able to justify spending north of a grand on something that most shops would consider a luxury. Now find a way to make that luxury a couple hundred bucks, and you'd probably see them flying off the shelf. Again, just an opinion. 8)

There are a lot of shops with multiple autos (most of whom post or lurk here) that would find a quick ROI on this I would imagine
-
I like the idea of the PRO-Roll Tape Applicator Tool (google it) only for applying pallet tape. Simple and cheap, relatively speaking.
